Tim was born & raised in South Africa in the middle of the last century & has spent most of his life asking himself the question, ‘Well, why not….?”
This quest has taken him on multiple journeys around the globe both exploring countries and business opportunities. Whilst living and co-owning a few pubs in Shanghai in the early 2000’s he discovered the lovable, classic cj750 motorbike with sidecar which had been manufactured & deployed by the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army between the late 1950’s and the early 1970’s.
On returning to his home-town of Cape Town in 2004, he brought a few of these sidecars with him with the idea of offering tours & transfers around the beautiful city of Cape Town and the scenic Cape Peninsula and Cape Winelands. The thrill of a tour in a vintage chariot from yesteryear continues to grow in popularity, and the business now has a fleet of 44 of these elegant ladies.
Tim is married to Dora and has 4 siblings, 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 2 rescues named Brody & Valentine.
